Another exciting year in the toy world has seen blockbuster movies and popular TV shows role out the usual themed toys and games but what is going to be a top toy this Christmas is the big question at this of year.

2009 has been a year where many have been wiser with their purchases and have looked around for the best priced toys before buying them. As Christmas fast approaches a shopping frenzy usually takes hold in a bid to find the best toy for boys, girls and babies.

A little help in choosing the right toy that will get the thumbs up by the kids is always going to be welcome. This year the Toy Retailers Association (TRA) will not disappoint the parents. Last years 2008 Dream Dozen centred on screen fame and rock stars with High School Musical a big hit. This year takes on a different angle.

The 2009 Dream Toys lists a dozen affordable toys all priced under £50! This is great news for mums and dads who will enjoy giving the most wanted toys to their kids without having to break the bank. Well that’s the idea behind the TRA’s Dream Toys for 2009 and a very good one it is too.
