Scalextric is a major international brand of slot car racing that first appeared in the late 1950s and is currently owned by Hornby. You can even have more than one car in the same lane and by using the lane change track pieces plus pressing the button on the hand controller you can overtake. What’s more you can use your old Scalextric track and simply add to the Scalextric Digital circuit.

For the younger novice racers there are sets containing super resistant cars that are fast but tough then for the more experienced there are sets that include highly detailed cars. There are even Scalextric sets with special themes like the BBC Top Gear Powerlaps, The Italian Job especially for fans of the cult British classic movie and its iconic Mini Cooper car chase!
