Elmo Live!

Elmo was one of the official Top 12 must-have toys for Christmas 2008 .It was such a global smash hit with demands high that stock was selling out fast. 2009 looks to be no different as the popular character is sure to on every toddlers Christmas wish list.

Elmo Live was the 2008 Christmas season release from the Fisher-Price division of Mattel. Fisher-Price brings Elmo to life like never before with this truly life-like creation taking plush toys to a new dimension.

Elmo Live! is a character-based toy inspired by the highly successful programme Sesame Street®.

Children can activate the magic with a tickle or a squeeze of Elmo’s foot, tummy, back or nose he then jumps into life, waving his hands wildly as he tells a story or one of his classic jokes, he even asks you to come closer for a hug or a kiss.

His mouth opens and closes when he talks making Elmo actually look as if he’s alive. When Elmo tells stories, he lifts his right leg in front of the left, while sitting on his chair. A great toy for developing listening skills and encouraging interactive role-play.

After you tickle Elmo on his tummy, and he waves his arms around laughing, he stands up to tell a joke. When Elmo tells a joke, if he doesn’t hear a laugh in reply, crickets start chirping. After a while, he replies, “Is this mike on?” He then sits down, and says, “Oh boy…” in disappointment.
