The Argos Top 10 Predictions for 2008 includes favourites Bop it Extreme, Rubik’s Cube and LEGO. With the latest Star Wars Clone Wars animated series set to be serialised on Sky Movies in October LEGO Star Wars sets are sure to be a popular choice this Christmas.

Other toys expected to be popular with pre-school children and appearing in Argos’ top ten list include Upsy Daisy and Her Chase and Play Bed, the Fish-Price Kid-Tough Digital Camera and Baby Born with Magic Potty. Ben 10 Omnitrix is also likely to be on Santa’s Christmas given the hugely successful TV series.

Hasbro have released a list of 20 top toys for Christmas 2008. This year’s popular movie releases feature with toys like the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Ultimate Lightsaber, the impressive Star Wars Millenium Falcon, Incredible Hulk gamma Rage Smash Hands, Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Playset & Hat and Sound FX Whip and Iron Man Rocket Blast.

Grils toys feature too with My Little Pony, Biscuit My Lovin pup a life-size golden retriever puppy, Upsy Daisy in her bed and baby alive learns to potty. If that’s not enough to capture kid’s imagination this Christmas there is a rideable dinosaur called Kota the Triceratops. Kota stand over 1 meter tall and is large enough to let small children sit on his back. A spring-loaded seat is built into the triceratops’s back that lets your kids ride comfortably while hanging onto a hidden handle behind the dinosaurs head!
