Top LEGO Christmas Toys
The LEGO™ Group was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen who began creating wooden toys and it was two years later in 1934 that the company began calling itself LEGO.
The name ‘LEGO’ is an abbreviation of the two Danish words “leg godt”, meaning “play well”. It was in the 1940’s that see the transition from wooden bricks to the now famous plastic interlocking bricks. These bricks could be locked together but not too tightly that they could not be pulled apart.

LEGO bricks can be assembled and connected in many ways, to construct such objects as vehicles, buildings and even working robots. LEGO pieces of all varieties are a part of a universal system and although they may have varied in design over the years LEGO bricks from 1963 still interlock with those made in 2008, and LEGO sets for young children are compatible with those made for teenagers.
